Other general questions:

Q. How much advance notice does LGS need to order our leis?

A. We can work with you at any point during your wedding planning process, but we recommend you start planning for your leis when you first start making your arrangements. We do need your complete and final order no later than 10 days before your wedding event.

Q. What if our wedding is outside the Denver Metro area(e.g.: Durango)

A. We can still work with you to create a beautiful wedding with Hawaiian leis. Most of our contact will be through e-mail and the phone. Once we decide on what leis will work best for you they can be shipped directly to your desired location. Please be cautioned; FedEx does not deliver to some remote and rural locations. Additional shipping charges will apply.

Q. We are getting married in a different state; can LGS still work with us on leis for our wedding?

A. Yes! Everything will remain the same except we will ship
your leis directly to the wedding venue. Additional shipping charges will apply.

Q. Our wedding is in the summer and I’d love to have white orchids and Tuberose leis. How long will these flowers last?

A. White orchids and tuberose are delicate flowers. Especially during the summer they may not arrive in perfect condition. Fragrant leis will hold their beauty longer in September thru May. You may order fragrant leis at your discretion, but we cannot guarantee their freshness.

Q. There are so many companies selling leis on the internet, what are the benefits of ordering our leis through Little Grass Shack.

A. Little Grass Shack is locally owned and operated in Colorado. This is a huge benefit to Colorado Residents!
We can provide you with personal customer service that goes beyond what the internet can do. We are here to meet with you and answer your questions. And best of all we are here to see you through from start to finish. In addition to the wonderful customer service and quality products we provide, our prices usually beat the competition!

Q. We are planning a Hawaiian Theme Wedding, do you have any suggestions for Hawaiian caters and entertainment?

A. Yes! We work closely with several businesses that provide the best services and products in Colorado. We would be happy to refer them to you. Best of all they can accommodate weddings and events with authentic Hawaiian flair.

Q. Can you do floral arrangements and centerpieces?

A. Unfortunately no, our focus is on fresh flower leis. But if you would like to purchase fresh cut tropical flowers through LGS we can provide this service but not any of the arranging.

We do work closely with a variety of wonderful florists and would be more than happy to make some reccomendations.

Other Questions and Answers

Q. How long will my lei last, and how do I store it?

A. The answer to this question varies with each lei. Generally long lasting leis and orchid leis can last up to 10 days. Fragrant leis on the other hand are more fragile and can last up to 4 days at most. The best advice is to follow the care instructions that come with your lei.

Q. Can I dry my lei?

A. Certain leis dry better than others. Unfortunately orchid leis and fragrant leis do not dry well. Generally the long lasting leis such as the ti leaf, kukui, maile and bozu leis dry nicely. You can also have your lei dried professionally and we would be happy to refer you to a few companies in Colorado.

Q. Can you ship leis out of state or within Colorado?
A.  If you need a lei shipped within Colorado or outside the state we would be happy to assist you. Please contact us at 720-974-4090 and we can discuss the options and costs.
